Dr Ted Rohr is a professional ecologist and wildlife biologist with a B.Sc. with majors in Zoology, Genetics and Plant Ecology, a B.Sc.(Honours) in Zoology, and a Ph.D. in Zoology / Evolutionary Biology from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
Skills include ecological surveys and species identification, environmental policies and legislation, ecological design and survey techniques, data collection in terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments and a range of laboratory techniques and field instrumentation such as spectrometry.
Dr Rohr was awarded the Peter Rawlinson Research Award (1993), an Australian Postgraduate Research Award (1994-1997) and a Massey University Postdoctoral Fellowship (1999-2000). Dr Rohr is a Senior Associate in the School of Applied Science, RMIT University.
Competitive grants include funding from Australian Geographic (1994), the Royal Society of New South Wales (1995), the Museum of Victoria (1996), Hawkes Bay Aquaculture (1999-2000), La Trobe University (1996, 1997), Massey University (1999), RMIT University (2003), the Wordwide Fund for Nature (2005), and the Threatened Species Network, in collaboration with the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority (2004-current). |
